Alexandra Park

Alexandra Park

On a lousy northern morning
in the cold and misty air
there is nothing but the rain
and our cynical despair

You said: Our hope is in the gutter
and our love is in the bin
„It´s so hard to live without you“
said the sinner to the sin

But I tell you there´s a passion deep inside
all our sad and troubled homeless little minds

And at one blow
we will all know
why we´ve lost our faith
and bring it home again
hand in hand
And at one blow
we will all go
and by the gate of Alexandra Park we´ll stand

There´s a spark of true desire
and an urge to feel the pain
in our strong and wild survivor
that´s still running through our veins
There´ll come a time of revelation
let´s put the whammy on those days
it needs no ocean but conviction
to drown the whole disgrace

But I tell you there´s a passion deep inside
all our sad and troubled homeless little minds

And at one blow
we will all know
why we´ve lost our faith
and bring it home again
hand in hand
And at one blow
we will all go
and by the gate of Alexandra Park we´ll stand
